Day 2 | Budapest Highlights:
Budapest is Eastern Europe’s liveliest and most cosmopolitan city. Enjoy a guided tour of the city sights including the Hungarian Parliament Building, the Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge linking Buda and Pest or an exciting hike on the Buda Hill. This afternoon you depart for Bratislava.

Day 3 | Vienna Highlights:
Today you have a choice of either exploring Austria’s capital beginning with a drive along the Ringstrasse, where we will see Vienna’s world–famous Opera House, Burgtheatre, Spanish Riding School, Town Hall, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Hofburg Imperial Palace. Alternatively, join the guided bike tour instead of the drive around and guided walk. Then you have free time to sample the wonderful tastes of Vienna.

Day 5 | Durnstein - Melk Highlights:
In the morning we arrive in Dürnstein, one of the most enchanting villages of the Wachau wine region. This is the site of the castle where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned after returning from the crusades in the 12th century. Thereafter you drive through the picturesque landscape of this district to the 900–year old Benedictine Abbey of Melk, which features Austria’s finest Italian baroque architecture.

Day 6 | Linz Highlights:
Austria’s third largest city is situated on either side of the Danube River. Your city tour takes in the impressive “Pestsäule”, the high column built to remember the victims of the bubonic plague epidemic of the 14th century, followed by the market squares. The rest of the day is at leisure. Tonight your captain will be delighted to host the farewell dinner.

Day 7 | Passau Highlights:
Cobblestone streets and graceful arcades welcome you in the beautiful city of Passau. On this morning’s walking tour, stroll through the old town’s narrow alleys and see the hilltop Oberhaus Fortress from the town below. Visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral, a wonderful example of Baroque architecture and home to Europe’s largest church organ with more than 17,000 pipes.

Day 8 | Passau Disembarkation - Salzburg Highlights:
After breakfast, transfer by coach to the picturesque mountainside city of Salzburg, in Austria. This city is the famed birthplace of Mozart and the setting of the movie “The Sound of Music”. The afternoon is yours to explore the city at leisure.
Day 9 | Salzburg Highlights:
This morning join your tour director for a guided walking tour of the center area. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore.

Day 10 | Salzburg – Munich Highlights:
Transfer from your hotel in Salzburg to the island of Fraueninsel where you will have lunch in a local restaurant. After continue your journey through the countryside to Munich. As Germany’s third largest city and the capital of Bavaria, Munich is a centre of arts, culture, and sciences. Today Munich is also a major sports hub as the home of Germany’s premier football club, Bayern Munich. Munich is a beautiful green city with ample open space to explore. Its history is ever present in the unique blend of historic and modern architecture found throughout.
Day 11 | Munich Highlights:
Derived from the High-German word Munichen, meaning “by the monks”, Munich was founded in 1158, developing from a pre-existing Benedictine Monastery. Enjoy a full morning sightseeing in the fascinating, one-time capital, passing by such landmarks as the Munich Residenz and Asam’s Church. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.
