Emerald Waterways Received High Commendations from Cruise International Awards
This week, Emerald Waterways received the honour of being Highly Commended in two categories at the Cruise International Awards. Despite being only its second season, Emerald Waterways gained recognition alongside some of the most well-established companies sailing on the same rivers.
In the Best New River Ship category, the Emerald Dawn received a nod from the prestigious cruise magazine thanks to its sleek design and innovative features such as the heated pool which turns in to a cinema each night. And Emerald Waterways is thrilled to have been Highly Commended in the Best River Cruise Line category despite being such a young company.
Lisa Norton, Vice President Brand Management, North America at Emerald Waterways said: “It’s a big achievement to have been honoured at such a prestigious awards event. As Europe’s newest cruise line, we’re so pleased to be compared with and besting many of the longtime players in the river cruise market.”
Having christened the Emerald Dawn and Emerald Sun last month, it’s an exciting time for the brand. Eagerly looking forward to 2016, the company will be launching its fifth Star-Ship – the Emerald Belle. Plus adding new itineraries including an eight-day Legends of the Moselle, Rhine & Main, which travels from Trier to Nuremberg, giving guests the opportunity to explore more historic Germany.
Launched in 2014, Emerald Waterways caters to the four-star-plus market by using state-of-the-art ships, top quality service and a nearly all-inclusive pricing plan. The company’s approach is designed to minimize guests’ concerns about daily budgets or mounting costs. The cruise fare includes all transfers; all onboard (and some on-shore) meals; unlimited tea and coffee; wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner; bottled water in the cabins; WiFi, daily shore excursions, and all gratuities, a savings up to $650 per couple on 15-day cruises.
